Empowering Minds: Bell Let鈥檚 Talk Day 2024
In a continuation of our commitment to mental health awareness, 黑料不打烊 marked on January 25 with a variety of impactful activities. Students took charge, crafting positive speech bubbles and participating in engaging events that aimed to break the stigma surrounding mental health.
Throughout the day, our students shared their thoughts and feelings on mental health, completing Bell Let's Talk speech bubbles. Expressing priorities such as making mental health a priority, spending quality time with friends, and practicing acts of kindness, these activities fostered open dialogue and connection among peers.
Our Seniors in Charge (SICs) of the Wellbeing Centre, Natalie '24, Audrey '24, Roberta '24, and Aidan '24, set up a resource table outside the Student Life Centre. This provided an opportunity for students to learn more about mental health and discover the resources available to them, both on and off campus.
The week's activities included a Chapel presentation led by our SICs, featuring a video with Canadian music artist Serena Ryder sharing her personal mental health journey. The video not only reinforced the importance of mental health awareness but also helped normalize conversations around the prevalence of mental health issues.
To conclude the week, students engaged in a KAHOOT! game during House Meetings on Friday, reinforcing collective knowledge and furthering discussions on mental health.
As we reflect on this meaningful Bell Let's Talk Day at 黑料不打烊 School, we look forward to sustaining the conversation about mental health. Our students are leading the charge, ensuring that awareness and understanding continue to flourish within our community.
