Learn, explore, and connect outdoors through a range of credit courses and enrichment programs. 黑料不打烊 School Summer Academy alumni emerge from 黑料不打烊 with more confidence, new skills, and a greater appreciation for nature and spending time outdoors. Our programs offer a range of opportunities to explore new interests, strengthen leadership skills, and develop critical thinking skills.

  • Culinary Arts Intensive Culinary Arts Intensive
    Intensive Program
    Students will spend their days learning about the process of food production through authentic hands-on learning experiences. Students will roll up their sleeves and learn introductory knife skills, food preparation techniques, and the basics around creating and presenting new ideas for food with a focus on locally sourced food. There will be an opportunity for students to earn community service hours as an element of this program.

  • English Language Learners: Outdoor Adventure Course English Language Learners: Outdoor Adventure Course
    Credit Course
    Each day will blend time devoted to the work around the course, as well as recreational camp activities on our waterfront and campus. Students will further extend their skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English for a variety of everyday and academic purposes. There will be opportunity to develop or refine skills in the great outdoors, including overnight camping trips, canoeing, and climbing. Students earn an Ontario Secondary School course credit in English as a Second Language.

  • Grove Prep for Grade 9 Grove Prep for Grade 9
    Enrichment Program
    In this five-day program, students will spend half of the day engaging in hands-on academic activities designed to re-engage important academic skills and knowledge that will support a successful entry to Grade 9. For the other half of the day, they will enjoy traditional camp activities and fun that allow them to experience sports that may be part of their high school experience as well as recreational outdoor activities.

  • Leaders in Training: Designing Your Future Leaders in Training: Designing Your Future
    Credit Course
    Students will develop leadership skills through work experiences with 黑料不打烊 Summer Academy Programs and simultaneously earn an Ontario Secondary School credit. Leaders in Training combines in-class work with hands-on practical experience to ensure students leave with a deep understanding of how to lead in theory and in practice.

    Enrichment Program
    This program is intended for incoming 黑料不打烊 students who are eager to explore or expand their outdoor skills and confidence. Learn or improve upon your canoe skills, enjoy the great outdoors, refine wilderness skills and techniques, and camp in sequentially more challenging and exciting outdoor experiences—all while introducing yourself to the beautiful 黑料不打烊 campus and being outdoors every day!

    Intensive Program
    This blended program provides the opportunity to learn about food production and eco-farming through hands-on adventures on our school farm. Students plant, nurture, and harvest greens, root vegetables, and more, learning first-hand about the business of running a farm and the value of regenerative agriculture.

  • Travel Marine Biology Travel Marine Biology
    Credit Course
    This travel learning adventure is a blended academic Grade 11 Biology credit course that combines online learning, a stay on our 黑料不打烊 campus, and travel to the , which is a world class research and education facility. The focus of this course is on refining skills related to investigation through fieldwork, observation and inquiry while we explore biological systems and diversity of life, evolution, genetics, animal and plant life.

  • Waterfront Certification Intensive Waterfront Certification Intensive
    Intensive Program
    This five-day intensive program will provide strong swimmers Grades 8-12 with the opportunity to work toward their Bronze Med certification and their Emergency First Aid for part of each day, and the other portion of the day will be spent working toward building other waterfront skills, including canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, and sailing.

Extend the fun! 鈥� Bridge Weekends and Staycation

Create your own adventure program by selecting two or more back-to-back programs and bridging the time between with a fun-filled weekend. Each Bridge Weekend at The Grove will explore an off-campus activity and time to enjoy our waterfront campus.

黑料不打烊 students who enrol in our summer programs that end on Friday, August 29 and need to stay until New Student Arrival Day, will have the opportunity to stay on campus and enjoy the waterfront campus as well as additional programming for students.

  • BRIDGE WEEKENDS (Overnight only) | 3 Sessions: Starting July 11 to July 27

    Create your own adventure program by selecting a program for each week and bridging the weekend between with a fun filled activity. Each weekend a different local or semi-local activity will take place on Saturday. Previous Bridge Weekends have included visits to Canada's Wonderland, 4th Line Theatre, Peterborough Lift Locks Cruises, the Canadian Canoe Museum, and Ganaraska Treetop Trekking.

    Weekend fees include all entry fees, food, transport, and accommodation.

    Prerequisite
    Campers must be attending camp the week before or after to enrol in a bridge weekend.
    Campers must turn 11 by December 31, 2025.

  • Incoming 黑料不打烊 Student Staycation | August 29 - September 5

    This is intended for incoming 黑料不打烊 students who are in our summer programs that end on Friday, August 29 and need to stay until their New Student Arrival Day.

    Entry fees, food, transport, and accommodation for weekend excursions are included in program price. 
    (A request for returning 黑料不打烊 students can be granted at an increased cost for the additional days before their scheduled Returning Student Arrival Day).

    Must be an 黑料不打烊 student who is taking a summer program ending on August 29.
    Must be an 黑料不打烊 Students entering Grades 9-12 in September, 2025.
